Belgium’s first recycled wind turbine

What do you do with a wind turbine that’s past its prime? At Rengineers, we simply give it a second life! Together with Business in Wind, we carried out a complete makeover in our workshop in Barneveld on Belgium’s first recycled wind turbine. Now, it stands proudly in Maasmechelen, ready to deliver sustainable energy for another 20 years.

This was a project our technicians truly embraced. Everything—from the nacelle to the rotor blades—was refurbished. The result? A turbine that not only operates like new but also proves that reuse truly pays off. It’s incredible to see something that was nearly written off generating energy once again.
