AS MUCH ENERGY AS PRE-PACKAGED VEGETABLES

The installation of a wind turbine on the Gilfresh-site in Loughgall was not a matter of if, but of when. Co. Armagh. Director Thomas Gilpin’s goal is to generate as much renewable energy as he does pre-packaged vegetables. The wind turbine was constructed turn-key by Rengineers in 2017.

Thomas continues: “It was in the summer of 2016 that a Rengineers sales manager came over to discuss their services. And the possibility of turn-key projects for certain wind turbines.’ ‘We were definitely interested in that. We know all about vegetables, but not about wind turbines. We wanted to recruit a specialist who knew the ins and outs in that respect. Rengineers ticked all the boxes.’

Now that the turbine has been installed, Rengineers will also provide the maintenance under a Garant Contract. Thomas says: ‘This gives us a feeling of certainty. We can concentrate on our business and the quality of our fresh produce to satisfy customer, while Rengineers takes care of our wind turbine.’
