APPRENTICE / JUNIOR ENGINEERS
We are always on the lookout for apprentice engineers. Are you still in school, and do you want to get to work part-time? Or are you finishing your education? We would love to hear from you.
Inspections and preventive maintenance
Prevention is better than cure. Preventive maintenance is what we do. If we see a fault developing, we are there straight away.
A DAY IN THE FIELD WITH…

We meet at the depot. Coffee in hand, we head out to the wind farm.

This is a short trip. The two-megawatt turbines we are servicing today are due their twice-yearly service. We unload our kit and take the lift up. A minute later, we arrive at our first workstation for today (height: 80 m).

Checklist in hand, we work through the service. We take oil samples, check the filters. Naturally, we service all bearings and gears. Small components up for replacement are sorted out straight away.

Lunch, and a brew. Team spirit and fellowship are an important part of the work atmosphere. In (and outside of) the turbine we have to be able to rely on each other.

Inside the second turbine, we find a fault in the gearbox. A job for the refurbishment team. We compile a digital report, with pictures, and leave it in the planner’s capable hands.

Job done. Our findings are reported to the office digitally. Our checklist links directly to the WindUp app, giving the client “live” insight into our findings.
